6 DAYS:MACHAME ROUTE

Day 1 . arrival in ARUSHA.
Meet with our staff at aiport then transfer to hotel/campsite for overnight.

Day 2 . Machame Hut.
Drive to Machame gate, the climb begins at the rain forests to the Machame Hut, (3000m, 6hours).

Day 3 .  SHIRA HUT (3800m)- BARRANCO HUT(3950m)
-After breakfast a slow walk through semiglacier and sandy areas with picnic lunch 3 to 4 hrs before
arriving at the Barranco Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 . BARRANCO HUT(3950m)- BARAFU HUT (4600m)
-After breakfast, with picnic lunch enroute climb through glaciers for approximately 4 to 5 hours before arriving the Barafu Hut for dinner and overnight.HB

Day 5 . Barafu Hut.
A short scramble to the top of the great Baranco and then a traverse overscree and a ridge to the Karanga valley 4000m,3hours,Beneath the icefalls of the Heim, Kersten and Decken Glaciers, After climbing out of the Karanga valley the trail ascends a ridge to the Barafu Hut. A Bleak location with little vegetation at 4600m, 3hours walking.
 An early wake up call around 12.00hrs for preparation and light breakfast before starting final ascent to the summit i.e. either the Stella Point reached in approximately 5 to 6 hrs and a further ascent to the Uhuru Peak reached in another approx 45minutes. After
signing and short rest at barafu hut descend via the Gillman's Point down to Mweka hut for an hours rest with light breakfast then descent down for dinner and overnight at Mweka hut. FB.

Day 6 . MWEKA HUT(3100m)-MWEKA GATE
-After breakfast, final descent to Mweka gate, thereafter say Goodbye to your Guide/Porters and
connect a private transfers to Arusha  for dinner and overnight at lodge/campsite
